Welcome to Biochemistry at the University of Louisville. Biochemistry is offered jointly by the Department of Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Medicine. This course will extend over two semesters. The first semester, Bioch/Che 545/645, will be taught by Drs. Richard J. Wittebort and Steven R. Ellis and will cover areas of macromolecular structure, function, and synthesis. The second semester, Bioch/Che 547/647, will be taught by Drs. William L. Dean and Thomas J.
